INTRODUCTION

Thank you for visiting my home page. I was born in India and trained in Science and Engineering. Having been born and raised in a very religious environment, it was inevitable that religion will influence my life indelibly. But technology education came into direct confrontation with my upbringing - until now, when I found the correct synthesis of the rivaling antinomies of technology and religion. Basically there need not be a conflict between the technology and religion. The former provides for the outer needs of humans - e.g. food, shelter, clothing, and worldly infrastructure. The latter, the religion provides for the inner life, relationships, arts, joy, and humanity as a whole. Both must do what they are supposed to without overtaking the territory of the other.

FORMAL EDUCATION

High School Diploma - Government Inter College, Muzaffar Nagar, U. P. India.
B. S. (Metallurgical Engineering) - University of Roorkee,
U. P. - An institution at the Himalayan foothills, first established as a Civil Engineering College in 1857.
M. S. (Metallurgical Engineering) - Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, U. P. - This was the first Technology University in India with a major thrust for the American style technology education.
Ph. D. (Materials Science & Engineering) - State University of New York at Stony Brook, New York - They used to call it Berkeley of east. I do not know, what they call it now. My major thrust was to ascertain that I do the best possible research, and I think that I did accomplish that.

In the field of Materials Engineering, my favorite author is Dr. Lawrence H. Van Vlack.
There are other favorite books, but they are all in Hindi(Indian Language). In Hindi my favorite author is Saint Tulasidasa.
